I love Benny's deluxe nachos. Also, the beans and cornbread are great comfort food. I also get the taco plate sometimes which is baked in their oven and it is to die for.

I can't believe this place only has 2 stars. If your anything like me my nose scrunched up when I heard it was pizza AND Mexican food, but this place has it figured out. It's a little hole in the wall not a fancy smancy place but it serves good food. I highly recommend the daily special with the cheese enchilalasa. But if your feeling pizza, you won't be dissapointed with that either.

This is one of the better places to eat in Altus. My co-worker has been going here every Friday for the last 18 years so I decided to give it a try, and I've been going frequently ever since.
They have old fashioned pizza cracker crust, which reminds me of this pizza joint we used to go to back home. They have great enchiladas, chips and salsa, and a fresh salad bar. The service is prompt and the food comes out fast. My only complaint would be that they are a little overpriced, but they are part of the Altus 100 so that's to be expected. -

I would like to emphasize the fact that I am not a meat-eater making it hard for me to go to a country town and find something that I could eat so keep in mind that this review is strictly based on Cheese Enchiladas with Cheese on top.
First, I should have gotten their pizza. Their pizza, I have heard, is great. I wish to go back some time and get pizza. But since I got Cheese Enchiladas, lets talk about that.
My cheese enchiladas were very crispy because, instead of putting queso (which I think this place doesn't have) it had shredded cheese on it! I wouldn't call it bad but I am not used to getting shredded cheese on my enchiladas. The rice though, I would get! It was good rice. Their salsa was also some what good. It tasted a little like Bar-B-Cue-ish but not bad.
I would go here but to only get their Pizza. -

My coworkers and I tried this place for lunch and were not impressed. We walked in the door and seated ourselves. The place wasn't at all busy. After sitting there for almost 10 minutes being ignored, my coworker went to the counter and requested menus. We finaly ordered and the food came pretty quickly. I'm not a picky eater but the taco plate I has was awful. The pizza my coworker ordered was undercooked and tasted like raw dough. After eating as much as we could stomach of it, we waited on the check which never came. Again we had to go to the counter and request the check. By the time we left, the place was pretty packed which left us bewildered how a place with such lousy food and next to no customer service draws such a crowd. It's Altus I guess.
